Artist Statement for Project 4
For Project 4 I wanted to incorporate my dog in some manner. Or a generic dog and show the aging process.
Although sad, I find it important to remember that a dog's life is much shorter lived than ours for the most part, and we should cherish all the time we have with our pets.
Another idea I wanted to pursue was a couple holding hands, or a couple in a general embrace, and have them decompose or turn into another seemingly permanent material like stone. Perhaps like an ascending order from young, new couple, to old married and then after? To show the timeline and go from above the world to below and still together.
